Gareb Shamus is an American contemporary painter and part of New York’s emerging Connectivism movement. He is the founder of Wizard World and Toy Fare Magazines; Fox Television Network’s IFL; and owner of twenty six Comic Con conventions in the United States.
Mr. Shamus paintings are noted for breaking the ‘3rd wall’ with their three-dimensional textures and use of a proprietary painting technique designed and developed to provoke conversation from the casual viewer.
His art work is currently on display in galleries in New York and Los Angeles; and he has been featured at Art Basil in Miami. In 2016 his work will be shown in England, Belgium, Germany and parts of Asia. Gareb’s art was recently the focus of an article in Forbes as well as Art and Signature magazine.
